Punajuuripihvit -- Finnish Beet Steaks
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) can beets, sliced, drained
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1⁄2 cup breadcrumbs, fine, dry
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Dip beets in crushed egg, then sprinkle half the bread crumbs onto a towel. Place beet slices on the crumbs & sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
- in a very frying pan, over medium-low heat, soften butter, then saute beet slices, turning to brown both sides, concerning three minutes for every aspect.
- Place on a serving platter & sprinkle with juice & parsley.
